nurses hold a number of surgeries by appointment only.

The practice nurses
will be happy to offer health promotion advice, cervical
smears, ear syringing, blood pressure checks and
vaccinations and will consult with a doctor as
necessary. (Please enquire at reception for any changes
to the above times.)

Consultations are by appointment only.

District Nurses
Our district nurses
work closely with the doctor and are able to provide
treatment at home and advice about care and
convalescence after discharge from hospital.
They may be contacted
via Hanford Clinic reception, Tel no. 421000.
The district nurses
also run a number of sessions at Hanford Clinic, these
are for dealing with minor injuries, dressings, removal
of sutures etc.

Health Visitors
The health visitors can give expert advice on your own
and family’s health care. They run the child health
clinics with the doctor. The health visitors are happy
to give advice for all family problems arising from the
very young to the very old.

Midwives
The midwives run weekly antenatal and postnatal clinics
in association with the doctors. They can be contacted
via the GP Unit, North Staffs Maternity Hospital on
552476.
