Dr Tim Dalton
Mb. BChir. BSc (Hons) MRCGP DRCOG
- Dr Dalton trained at St
Thomas’s Hospital London and
graduated from Cambridge
University in 1993. He also has
a Medical Management degree from
City University, London. He took
over the practice in 2000 from
the retiring previous GP. He has
slowly grown the practice and
was instrumental in the recent
move to the modern premises that
we now operate from. His
interests in medicine are wide
ranging but he particularly
specialises in Medical Training
and mentoring/coaching. He also
works for the Occupational
Health Dept at local acute
hospital trust. He strongly
believes in patient autonomy and
a holistic approach to care and
this is reflected in the
approach that the practice has
taken.
Dr Mausumi Roy
MBChB DRCOG MRCGP DFFP
- We are fortunate to have joining us
full time from October 2006 Dr Roy.
She graduated from Aberdeen
university in 1998 and trained to be
a GP in various hospitals in the
north of Scotland. After this she
worked in the Fife area until the
last year when she swapped to
working locally at Ashton. While
enjoying the wide variety of
challenges presented by general
practice, her particular interests
lie in Diabetes, Women's health and
Family Planning. Her consultation
style is very much patient-centered
and this is reflected in the
excellent satisfaction results she
received from our patients in a
recent survey.
Dr Banavathi Suma
- Dr Suma is working for us until the
end of October as a Locum to cover
the absence during the transition
from Dr Bax to Dr Roy. She is a very
experienced doctor who until
recently was working with another
local Practice in Worsley Mesnes
Health Centre. We feel she will
enhance our team’s skills during
this period of relative instability
and also ensure that the standard of
patient care and continuity of care
is maintained to the best of our
ability.
Dr Joydip Majumder

- Dr Majumder is our new GP Registrar
from August 2006. However, having
been working here in a part time
role for the six months previously,
he is already well known within the
practice. Due to being in a training
role he sometimes will be videoing
so please be patient with Joy and we
would ask if you can co-operate as
much as possible with this as it
does enhance his training and make
him into a better GP at the end of
the process.
