Departure of Dr Bax

Sadly Dr Bax is leaving us officially on the 11th August 2006. He is continuing to do a few days throughout August as his new post in Bolton doesn’t start until September. He has been a major factor in the practice’s continued development and we wish him every success in his future career.

Appointment of New GP

We are delighted to report the Appointment of a new GP Dr Mausumi Roy. She has been working locally at a PCT practice in Ashton (ex Dr Levine practice) as so may be known to some patients anyway. She is very experienced, having previously been a partner in Scotland, and will bring lots of new approaches and knowledge t the practice. We are fortunate to have her join us and We hope she will fit well in with the team and patients alike.

New Registrar

With the coming of August we are proud to announce that the Registrar for the next twelve months will Dr Joydip Majumder. He is well known to the practice so we hope will continue to fit in well.

New Locum arrival

Due to the delay in the starting of Dr Roy we will have a locum for 2-3 months during this transition period. We have been lucky to persuade Dr Suma to join us who was a registrar last year at Dr Kumar/Russell’s practice here in Chandler House. She will we are sure make patients feel at home and help you with any problems in the usual expert way you have come to expect from Shakespeare Surgery.
